ASUS formulated our Social and Environmental Responsibility Policy which was approved by C-level executive management. This applies to all our operation activities, business partners, and employees(including contractors).

 

ASUS is committed to take the following approach to fulfill corporate social responsibility and meet the safety and health policies:

Establish a comprehensive management system, to effectively manage performance indicators, conduct regular internal and external audits, continuously improve, implement risk assessment and control, and eliminate potential hazards.

Provide safety training for employees, suppliers, and contractors to enhance safety awareness, equip with complete safety protection equipment, eliminate safety concerns, and continuously strengthen environmental safety and health performance.

Offer regular health check, advocate for a healthy lifestyle, and create a comfortable working environment.

Comply with environmental regulations, implement pollution prevention, select environmentally friendly raw materials and manufacturing processes, minimize waste generation, and communicate and cooperate with stakeholders including customers, suppliers, and contractors to promote resource recycling.

Improve energy efficiency, promote energy-saving measures, and actively develop and utilize renewable energy.

Set science-based carbon reduction targets, combine data-driven risk management with carbon reduction plans, to comprehensively enhance climate resilience.

Establish a screening system for partners such as suppliers and contractors, implement due diligence and management, and continuously promote sustainable procurement.

Establish mechanisms for stakeholder communication and engagement, conduct collective bargaining and resource assistance, and implement consistent communication of group policies.

Biodiversity Commitment

 

As approved by the C-level executive management, our Biodiversity Policy as follows:

  1. Avoid engaging operations adjacent to globally or nationally protected biodiversity areas
  2. When operating activities are adjacent to critical biodiversity areas, mitigation measures such as avoidance, minimization, restoration and offsetting will be adopted to reduce ecological impacts
  3. Actively cooperate with suppliers and external stakeholders to implement biodiversity and non-deforestation commitments
  4. Comply with the international or local forestry laws or policies, and follow the principle of Zero Net Deforestation
  5. Actively encourage ecological and biodiversity conservation actions, and respond to the United Nations Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD)
